Wallingford, GWR, was my first major commission. I researched and built the model to 4mm/ft scale for a customer in Sweden. It was featured in the Railway Modeller for November 1979.
Darvill's Yard was one of several models made for one customer. This has proved to be one of my most popular models; I have been asked to make it again several times. It first appeared in the February 1980 Railway Modeller, followed by a wheelwright's shop for the same customer the next month.
This tiny signal box was based on a North Eastern Railway prototype and featured a fully detailed interior and illumination. It was featured in the Railway Modeller for April 1980.
